For Rangers Ultra Kenya 2019

16th- 23rd September 2019

Applications Closed

When will you know if you have a place? By the 7th May 2019

Well, what can we say about this one then? Running For Rangers is a truly unique event. Imagine the greatest week of your life- Medicine, Africa, Safari, Animals, Camping, Helicopters, Light aircraft, 4x4s- everything. Then double it- and you have the For Rangers Ultra. During this most epic of weeks. the participants will be running an ultra marathon in 5 wildlife conservancies in 5 days with all the animals and risk you would imagine. It is not for the feint hearted and is generally regarded as the most unique ultra event on the planet.

Exile Medics will be there because nothing scares us. You'll have to survive in the wilds (with Ranger help) for days at a time. This is going to take a lot from you, but give you a lot in return. You will be asked to give your all every second of every day, but not for a moment will you regret it. How can you when a baby rhino will be sharing your breakfast with you, and elephant sharing your tent, or a buffalo chasing your vehicle ?

We usually say that Kenya is the Heart of Africa. Well, this race in in the heart, right in the septum. We're talking deep deep heart. Brace yourself. Only the most resilient need apply.

Visit the race website here- and there’s a great video about the event

We strongly recommend that you organise a late flight, or a flight the following day to avoid the travel problems associated with Africa.

The Wildebeest Eco Lodge can arrange to meet you at the airport and have a variety of accommodation options. Visit their website or email on info@wildebeestecocamp.com

You will spend the week in tents, in which 6-8 of you will sleep. The event will provide camp beds, but you will need a good sleeping bag as it is cold at night.
