Ice Ultra 2020
Arctic Circle - Jokkmokk - Sweden
24th February- 1st March 2020
Applications open 26th July- 24th August 2019
The epic Ice Ultra is now open for Exiles to consider. This is the most physically demanding, challenging environment in which Exile Medics works. Temperatures drop as low as -40 degrees, and as ever Exiles are the first in and the last out. You will travel over 200 miles on snowmobiles, and work alongside the Sami people in delivering this most isolated of races. You will sleep in the most basic of log cabins, eat and survive on reindeer skins in Nordic tepees on windswept frozen lakes, surviving by building fires and eating when you can.
It is the most spectacular and beautiful part of the world, but not one for the faint hearted!
Got what it takes? Really? You sure? It’s really cold...... If you have, apply below. You have 1 month to go for it.
We promise its a race you will never forget- its a true favourite of Exile Medics. Have a look at pictures of previous years here.
You MUST be able to survive and work in temperatures down to -40 centigrade.
Before you head to the application at the bottom of the page, see the details below
Cost: The Ice Ultra costs £175 for the administrative fee (including the hated yet obligatory VAT), and you will need to buy your flight. You will receive about £80 back towards your flight. Compare this to the cost of arranging your own expedition in the arctic circle and you'll agree that this is a good deal.
